Mayor Waites Statement on the passing away of Davis Rhorer: "It is with a great deal of sadness that I learned of Davis Rhorer passing yesterday. During this painful time, I wish to express my deepest condolences to his wife, son, and extended family.
I salute the memory of Davis, a kind man who always had a smile on his face as he worked so diligently to help Baton Rouge recognize the potential of the downtown area and never quit trying to improve upon what he had helped to build. I have personally appreciated his words of encouragement and advice, and know he will be truly missed.
I pray that we all strive to embody the spirit of Davis in our good work and actions as we lift up his family and loved ones in prayer during this difficult time."
