The October 2020 Deadline to Obtain REAL ID is Fast Approaching:
In just a few short months everyone will be required to be "REAL ID-compliant".
What does that mean?
Beginning October 1, 2020, travelers must have a driver's license, US passport, US military ID or other accepted identification that is "REAL ID-compliant" in order to fly within the United States.
What is the difference?
A "REAL ID" driver’s license or identification card will display a gold circle with a star cutout.
A "NON-REAL" ID driver’s license or identification card will

display “NOT FOR FEDERAL IDENTIFICATION”.
A "REAL ID" driver’s license or identification card does not contain any additional electronic technology.
The REAL ID Act went into effect as a security measure after the September 11 attacks.
Federal law requires each state to become compliant by 2020 and the measure includes adults and children.
Legal drivers can get a REAL ID compliant driver's license, children can get a compliant state ID.
