Road closed for cross drain replacement
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 25, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled road closure on Hume Bedford Pike (KY 1939) in Fayette County.
The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. between Russell Cave Road (KY 353) and Elizabeth Station Road/Greenwich Pike (KY 1876), between mile points 0.2-1.7.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to replace a cross drain.
Motorists can use Russell Cave Road (KY 353), Elizabeth Station Road/Greenwich Pike (KY 1876) and U.S. 460 as an alternate route.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
