TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Daytime Lane Closures Scheduled on I-75 in Fayette County

Motorists are advised to slow down, watch for crews working

LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 2, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of daytime lane closures on Interstate 75 southbound in Fayette County for overhead panel sign replacement.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., weather permitting, crews will replace overhead panel signs on I-75 southbound between the Northern Split (Exit 118) and Iron Works Pike (Exit 120). Intermittent lane closures will be in place during the work.

Motorists should use extra caution and watch for signage and personnel while traveling through the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
