TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures Scheduled on KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Fayette County

Bridge deck pothole repairs planned July 27-29

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 24, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures on New Circle Road (KY 4) in Fayette County for bridge deck pothole repairs.

Work will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, at the following locations:

  • Monday, July 27 – Eastbound outer loop mile point 3.9 at the Parkers Mill Road overpass. The right/slow lane will be closed.
  • Tuesday, July 28 – Eastbound outer loop near mile point 1.4 at the Clays Mill Road overpass. The left/fast lane will be closed.
  • Wednesday, July 29 – Eastbound outer loop near mile point 17.5 at the Chinoe Road overpass. The left/fast lane will be closed.

Motorists should use caution, reduce speed and watch for personnel and equipment in the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
