Right lane closure planned on U.S. 68 (Harrodsburg Road)

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 17, 2026) —The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a right lane closure on U.S. 68 (Harrodsburg Road) in Fayette County for storm drain cleaning operations.

Monday, July 20, weather permitting, the outbound right lane on U.S. 68 (Harrodsburg Road) at Fort Harrods Drive (mile point 2.4) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The right-turn lane from Fort Harrods Drive onto outbound U.S. 68 (Harrodsburg Road) will also be closed during the work.

The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to safely clean storm drains.

Motorists should use extra caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
