TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Flood Recovery Efforts Continue Across District 7

Motorists advised to use caution and watch for crews and signage

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 1, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) continues flood recovery efforts across District 7 as crews work to clear debris, assess damage and make repairs to roadways and bridges impacted by recent flooding.

The following roadway updates are available:

Jessamine County

  • Chrisman Mill Road (KY 1541) between mile points 6.1 and 6.2 has reopened to one lane. Temporary traffic signals are in place while repairs continue.

Madison County

  • Maple Grove Road (KY 1984) has reopened after crews removed flood debris from the roadway.
  • The bridge on Tates Creek Road (KY 169) at mile point 11 is expected to reopen to one lane sometime this week, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution while traveling through these areas. Drivers should watch for personnel, signage, cones, barriers and barricades as recovery efforts continue.

Additional flood recovery work is ongoing, and traffic impacts may change as repairs progress.
