TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Flood Damage Debris Cleanup to Close Bridge at Maple Grove Road (KY 1984) in Madison County

Road closure scheduled June 30 for bridge debris removal

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 29, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled road closure near the intersection of Tates Creek Road (KY 169) and Maple Grove Road (KY 1984) for flood debris removal. 

Work is scheduled on Tuesday, June 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The closure will be at the bridge located on Maple Grove Road (KY 1984) at mile point 2.0. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely remove flood debris from the bridge.

Motorists should use alternate routes during the closure times. 

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways
