TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Second Phase of Concrete Intersection Improvement Project Begins in Anderson County

Lane closures scheduled at the intersection of U.S. 127B and U.S. 62

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 19, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the second phase of a concrete intersection improvement project at the intersection of U.S. 127B and U.S. 62 in Anderson County.

The project is located on U.S. 127B between mile points 3.20 and 3.27 at the U.S. 62 (Fox Creek Road) intersection. During all operations, two lanes in each direction will be closed.

The following traffic impacts are expected:

Sunday, June 21 - Saturday, June 27

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, the northbound U.S. 127B slow lane and right-turn lane will be closed. The U.S. 62 eastbound left-turn lane and through lane will also be closed while crews complete concrete approach work.

Sunday, June 28 - Friday, July 3

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, the closures will shift to the northbound U.S. 127B fast lane and left-turn lane while crews complete the remaining concrete approach work.

All lanes are expected to be open by July 3.

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
