TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Daytime Road Closure Scheduled at KY 1659 (Mccracken Pike) in Woodford County

Cross drain replacement planned June 30

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 25, 2026) —The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled road closure on KY 1659 (Mccracken Pike) in Woodford County. 

KY 1659 (Mccracken Pike) will be closed between mile points 3.0 and 4.5 from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for crews to repair a cross drain. No through traffic will be permitted during work hours.

Motorists should seek an alternate route and use caution when traveling through the area. Alternate routes include KY 1685 (Steele Road).

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
