LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 13, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of overnight lane closures beginning on Interstate 64 westbound in Scott County as part of the ongoing I-64 rehabilitation project in Fayette, Scott and Woodford counties.
Beginning tomorrow night, Wednesday, May 14, traffic on I-64 westbound at mile point 67.5 near the Cane Run Road overpass will be shifted into the fast lane during overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
The lane closure will remain in place near the Cane Run Road overpass as work progresses.
Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Drivers are advised to reduce speed and watch for personnel and equipment in the area.
Additional traffic impacts associated with the project will be announced in advance as work progresses.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
