Pavement repair and resurfacing operations beginning tonight, May 12
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 12, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled overnight lane closures on North Broadway (U.S. 68) in Fayette County for pavement repair and resurfacing operations.
Crews will perform pavement repairs on North Broadway between 12th Street and Loudon Avenue beginning tonight, Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Motorists should also expect alternating lane closures next week, with additional resurfacing operations expected to begin Tuesday, May 19 between 12th Street and 2nd Street. Work is expected to continue during overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for several nights.
Traffic impacts will be announced in advance as work progresses.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, use caution and watch for personnel and equipment in the area.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
