TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures Scheduled on KY 39 in Jessamine County

Road slide repairs planned May 11-22

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 8, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures on KY 39 in Jessamine County for slide repair work.

Crews will be repairing a slide near mile point 4.2 beginning Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 22, weather permitting.

Work will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding weekends.

The work will require temporary closure of one lane. At times, both lanes may need to close for short durations of approximately 15 to 20 minutes as needed during operations.

Motorists should expect delays and use caution in the work zone.

Alternate routes during temporary full closures include:

  • Watts Mill Road to the north
  • Little Hickman Road (KY 1268) to the south

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
