Road slide repairs planned May 7-15
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 5, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled road closure on New Dixville Road (KY 1941) in Mercer County for a road slide repair.
The road will be closed between mile points 3.0 and 4.0 starting Thursday, May 7, to Friday, May 15.
The roadway will be closed between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
Motorists should seek alternate routes during closure hours. Alternate routes include KY 152, KY 422, KY 1920 and U.S. 68.
Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the area.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
