New Signal Activation Scheduled on U.S. 60 in Fayette County

Signal to become fully operational April 30

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 28, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled traffic signal activation at the intersection of U.S. 60 (Winchester Road) and Commerce Avenue/realigned Hume Road (mile point 12.2) in Fayette County. 

The signal is currently in flash mode and is scheduled to become fully operational on Thursday, April 30 at 9 a.m.

U.S. 60 will have protected left turns and a pedestrian crossing has been added on the south side of Winchester Road.

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
