UPDATED: Lane Closures Scheduled on KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Fayette County

Bridge deck pothole repairs planned April 27 and 29

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 27, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures on KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Fayette County for routine pothole repairs on bridge decks.

Daytime work is scheduled Monday, April 27 and Wednesday, April 29 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting. 

 Work locations include:

  • Monday, April 27 – mile point 14 (Richmond Road overpass), westbound inner loop; left (fast) lane closed
  • Wednesday, April 28 – mile point 17 (Chinoe Road overpass), westbound inner loop

One lane will remain open at all times; however, motorists should expect delays.

Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
