TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled on I-75 in Fayette County

 I-75 widening and sign installation work, April 22-29

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 22, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists to expect I-75 ramp closures over the next week in Fayette County for the I-75 widening project and sign installation work.

Closures will occur at the following locations and times:

Wednesday, April 22 at midnight through 5 a.m. Thursday, April 23

  • The I-75 northbound on-ramp from Newtown Pike (Exit 115) to I-75 North will be closed.
  • Motorists should detour using Exit 113 (Paris Pike).
  • Law enforcement will be present to direct traffic.

Thursday, April 23 at midnight through 5 a.m. Friday, April 24

  • The I-75 northbound on-ramp from Newtown Pike (Exit 115) to I-75 North will be closed for sign installation work.
  • Motorists can still access I-75 northbound by using the signalized intersection near the ramp.

Friday, April 24 at 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 29

  • The I-75 southbound on-ramp from Paris Pike (Exit 113) to I-75 South will be closed for ramp widening work.
  • Motorists should detour using U.S. 60 (Paris Pike).

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes where possible.

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
