TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Pavement Marking Work Scheduled on KY 595 in Madison County

 Daytime work planned April 17

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 16, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled pavement marking work on KY 595 in Madison County.

Contractors will be updating pavement markings, which requires the application of thermoplastic striping.

Work is scheduled for Friday, April 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Work will take place on KY 595 near mile point 5 (Peggy Flat) in the northbound direction. Flagging operations will be in place to guide traffic through the work zone.

Motorists should expect brief delays and are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the area.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
