Daytime work planned April 9-10
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 8, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled pavement marking work at multiple intersections in District 7. Contractors will update pavement arrows and lane markings at intersections, which requires applying thermoplastic.
Work will take place Thursday, April 9 through Friday, April 10, weather permitting.
Flagging operations will occur at all locations except Mercer County, where a lane closure will be in place. Motorists should expect to be directed through intersections during work at flagging locations.
Work will occur at the following locations:
Montgomery County
KY 686 at mile point 4.8 (KY 713 roundabout) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Boyle County
KY 1915 at mile point 1.9 (KY 3366) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Jessamine County
KY 169 at mile point 7.7 (Bethany Road/Vince Road) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mercer County
KY 390 at mile point 13.5 (U.S. 127) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for flaggers, signage, and personnel in the work zone.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
