TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Nighttime Milling and Paving Operations Scheduled on U.S. 60 (Main Street) in Montgomery County

Night work scheduled March 24-27

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 23, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled nighttime milling and paving operations on U.S. 60 (Main Street) in Montgomery County.

Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, March 24, and will take place nightly from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. through Friday, March 27. Operations will occur in short sections between milepoints 4.2 and 5.4.

Motorists will be able to travel through the work zone; however, delays are expected. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, including KY 686, KY 11, KY 713 and U.S. 460.

Parking will be prohibited within active work zones. Signage, message boards and flaggers will be in place to guide traffic through the area.

Additional paving operations are expected to begin the following week. The project is anticipated to be completed by April 3, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
