Starting Feb. 23, KY 1420 Will Close at Mile Point 3.95 in McCracken County for Bridge Replacement
Project expected to last until about late April
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 19, 2026) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure on KY 1420/Noble Road at mile point 3.95 in McCracken County, starting at 8 a.m., Monday, Feb. 23.
The existing bridge over a branch of Massac Creek will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge. This is along KY 1420 between KY 2411 and Meredith Road.
Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor for this $655,000 bridge replacement project.
Construction is expected to be completed by about late April, weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to self-detour.
Approximately 665 vehicles travel this section of KY 1420 in an average day.
