Plow and Grader Crews Working Snow and Ice Removal in Lexington

Watch for traffic changes on routes inside New Circle Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 5, 2026) — Motorists should watch for traffic changes in Lexington as Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 7 plow and grader crews work snow and ice removal along routes inside New Circle Road.

Multiple trucks and road graders are currently working to clear ice-covered travel lanes, especially turn lanes and shoulders, which will require temporary lane closures on various state highways and city streets. Operations will continue as weather conditions allow.

Motorists should use caution in work areas, heed all warning signs and flaggers, and give trucks and heavy equipment plenty of room to operate safely. For traffic cameras and real-time road conditions, please visit GoKY.ky.gov.

KYTC District 7 is responsible for maintaining state highways in Anderson, Boyle, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
