Closure for replacement of Wades Creek Bridge

PADUCAH, Ky. (Jan. 9, 2026)  A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of Charlie Miller Road in northwestern Calloway County, starting Monday, January 12, 2025.

This extended closure of Charlie Miller Road is for the construction of a new bridge over Wades Creek.  The closure on Charlie Miller Road is about halfway between Jackson Road and Kelly Road.  The roadway is expected to close after the morning school bus run on Monday.

This $495,000 bridge replacement project is part of the City County Bridge Improvement Program (CCBIP).  The new bridge is expected to be ready for traffic sometime in April, weather permitting.

Motorists may detour via Jackson Road and Kelly Road.
