TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Permitted Blasting Work Affecting Interstate 65 Beginning Nov. 17, in Bullitt County
Private development blasting operations scheduled
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 4, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of rolling roadblocks on Interstate 65 North and South beginning Monday, Nov. 17, in Bullitt County as part of permitted blasting operations for a private development.
The developer’s permitted blasting will occur daily from 2 to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Nov. 17, and continuing through Tuesday, Dec. 9. Blasting will take place in the area adjacent to Interstate 65 at mile marker 119.4, near the private development Airport South Logistics buildings on Ferguson Lane.
To safely complete the work, intermittent rolling roadblocks will be in place on southbound I-65 beginning at KY 1526 (Brooks Hill Road)/Exit 121. Rolling roadblocks will also be in place on northbound I-65 beginning at KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road)/Exit 116. Drivers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes during these operations.
