TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane and Shoulder Closures on I-65 South Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 11,

in Bullitt County

Contract crews to repair concrete slabs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 7, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming lane and shoulder closures on Interstate 65 South in Bullitt County. Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. and continue through Thursday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m.

During this time, the following traffic impacts are expected:

  • The far right lane and shoulder on I-65 South will be closed from mile point 120 (one mile south of KY 1526 / Exit 121) to mile point 117.6 (just before KY 44/Exit 117).
  • The I-65 South off-ramp to KY 44 (Exit 117) will remain open.

These closures are necessary for contract crews to repair concrete slabs along the interstate and allow sufficient curing time, which typically takes about 24 hours to reach adequate strength for traffic. Motorists are urged to follow all lane closure restrictions, exercise caution in the work zone, and plan ahead for potential delays and increased travel times.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. For the latest traffic and travel updates across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, visit goky.ky.gov. Information specific to District 5 counties is also available on Facebook and X.
