TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane and Shoulder Closures on I-65 North Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 4,
in Bullitt County
Contract crews to repair concrete slabs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 30, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming lane and shoulder closures on Interstate 65 North in Bullitt County. Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. and continue through Thursday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m.
During this time, the following traffic impacts are expected:
- The right lane on I-65 North after the KY 44 exit (mile point 116.4) will be closed.
- The two right lanes on I-65 North (mile point 116.7) after the on-ramp from KY 44 East to I-65 North will be closed.
- The I-65 North to KY 44 off-ramp will remain open.
- The KY 44 to I-65 North on-ramp will remain open. Motorists should be prepared to yield at the end of the ramp.
These closures are necessary for contract crews to repair concrete slabs along the interstate and allow sufficient curing time, which typically takes about 24 hours to reach adequate strength for traffic. Motorists are urged to follow all lane closure restrictions, exercise caution in the work zone, and plan ahead for potential delays and increased travel times.
