KYTC crews to replace cross drain
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 20, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the closure of a section of KY 389 (River Road) on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in Henry County.
KY 389 (River Road) will be closed from mile point 16.815 (near KY 574/Maddox Ridge Road) to mile point 19.764 (near KY 193/Port Royal Road) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 21. The closure is necessary for KYTC crews to replace a cross drain along the route. Drivers should expect to follow detours along the affected area while work is underway.
Following the replacement of the cross drain, crews will place a layer of dense-grade rock over it until asphalt can be laid. Drivers should exercise caution when driving over the newly replaced cross drain.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. For the latest traffic and travel updates across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, visit goky.ky.gov. Information specific to District 5 counties is also available on Facebook and X.
