Resurfacing Project on U.S. 42 in Carroll County Beginning Sunday, Oct. 12

Work will be performed overnight to limit traffic impacts

COVINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming resurfacing project on U.S. 42 in downtown Carrollton beginning Sunday night, Oct. 12.

Crews will be working on U.S. 42 beginning at Donna Street (5.47 mile point) extending east to KY 36 (7.21 mile point), a distance of 1.74 miles.

A single lane closure will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. with flaggers on-site to direct traffic. Milling and paving operations are being performed overnight to mitigate traffic impacts.

Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays.

Hinkle Contracting Company LLC is contracted to perform the $303,359 project on behalf of KYTC. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Project schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
