Closure scheduled for North Middletown Road/US 460 in Bourbon County
Cross drain replacement operations
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 30, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled closure for North Middletown Road/US 460. The temporary closure is necessary for cross drain installation operations.
Wednesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 9 – 10 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. on Thursday

a closure for cross drain replacement work will be in effect between milepoints 16 and 16.5
Alternate Routes
- northbound traffic from Paris will need to utilize Thatchers Mill Road/KY 57 or College Road
- westbound traffic from Mt. Sterling will need to utilize Winchester Road/KY 627
Note: no semi-truck traffic will be permitted --- all semi-trucks will need to utilize Winchester Road/KY 627
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
