TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Weekend Ramp Closures on
I-65 South in Louisville Postponed
Rescheduled work will allow contract crews to apply high friction surface treatments to ramps
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2025) – Previously planned work to apply high friction surface treatments (HFST) to three southbound Interstate 65 ramps in Louisville has been postponed. The previously planned ramp closures will not take place this weekend and will be rescheduled for a later date.
High friction surface treatments (HFST) are designed to enhance roadway safety by increasing pavement friction, especially in wet weather conditions, and also provides added protection for concrete surfaces. Updated ramp closure information will be shared once the work is rescheduled.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. For the latest traffic and travel updates across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, visit goky.ky.gov. Information specific to District 5 counties is also available on Facebook and X.
