Preventive maintenance project expected to begin Saturday, August 23 on KY 118 (Hyden Spur) in Leslie County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (August 19, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises motorists that a preventive maintenance project will begin Monday, August 25 on KY 118 (Hyden Spur) in Leslie County from mile point 0.00 to 3.476.

The preventive maintenance project will consist of resurfacing the roadway with a thin lift of asphalt and replacing the pavement markings.

Motorists can expect delays, and traffic will be controlled by flagging operations when necessary. The preventive maintenance project is expected to be complete by Tuesday, September 30.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
