Traffic Advisory: KY 1654 in Carter County for a Cross Drain Replacement on Wednesday, August 13

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (August 12, 2025) – From 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, highway crews in Carter County will temporarily close part of KY 1654 (milepoint 2.4) between Shawhan Lane and Dawson Branch Road to dig through the highway and replace a drainage pipe underneath. Traffic should watch for message boards and can detour using KY 854 to US 60 to KY 207 South. There will be no thru traffic during closure.
Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
