Traffic modifications planned for
Richmond in Madison County
Campus event at Eastern KY University
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 8, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of traffic changes planned for Richmond, Madison County. The temporary changes are necessary for a campus event at Eastern KY University.
Thursday, August 14 – 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. (times are approximate)
- Lancaster Avenue/KY 52 will be closed between the Eastern Bypass/KY 876 and Crabbe Street
- Barnes Mill Road will be closed between Eastway Drive to Lancaster Avenue/KY 52
Traffic will be manned by police at the following intersections:
- the Eastern Bypass/KY 876 (milepoint 8.1) and Lancaster Avenue/KY 52 (milepoint 10.8)
- Eastway Drive (CR) and Barnes Mill Road (CR)
- Crabbe Street (CR) and Lancaster Avenue/KY 52 (milepoint 11.4)
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
