Traffic Advisory: KY 681 Closure in Fleming County for Drainage Work 

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (July 30, 2025)– Highway crews will temporarily close part of KY 681 in Fleming County, beginning on Monday, August 4, at 8 a.m. through Friday, August 8, to replace a drainage structure. This closure will be 24 hours a day and is located at Wright Road on the east and Abners Mill in Nicholas County on the west. 

Message Boards will be in place to notify public of this closure. Anyone needing to access Wright Road or a location on KY 681 between KY 32 and Wright Road will need to enter KY 681 from the KY 32 end.  Anyone needing to access any location on KY 681 between Wright Road and the Nicholas County line will need to use county roads to navigate around the closure.

Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
