PADUCAH, Ky. (July 29, 2025) – One lane is now open on Interstate 24 westbound near mile marker 31 in Livingston County. This is at Exit 31 at KY 453 (Grand Rivers/Smithland).
Officials are estimating approximately 30 more minutes of cleanup before both lanes may reopen to traffic.

PADUCAH, Ky. (July 29, 2025) – Both lanes of Interstate 24 westbound are blocked near mile marker 31 in Livingston County near Exit 31 at KY 453 (Grand Rivers/Smithland).
Emergency crews on are scene. There is no estimated duration at this time.
Motorists on I-24 westbound are being detoured using the I-24 off ramp at Grand Rivers Exit 31 and back up the on-ramp, re-entering I-24 WB.
Traffic on KY 453/Dover Road will likely be impacted by delays due to increased volume on the I-24 westbound ramps.
Please avoid the area, if possible.
