Lane closures for installation of delineators
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 25, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of operations scheduled for Duncannon Lane/KY 2872. Temporary lane closures will be necessary for the installation of delineators. Work will be performed by the Madison County Maintenance Crew. The Kentucky State Police will be assisting with the lane closures and will be onsite during the work.
Delineator posts assist with channelizing traffic and are effective with guiding motorists through areas. They provide protection and visibility. Delineators are flexible enough to protect motorists and reduce damage to vehicles.
Tuesday, July 29 through Wednesday, July 30 – 10 p.m. Tuesday until 8 a.m. Wednesday
Duncannon Lane/KY 2872
- single inside lane closures will be set up between milepoints 3.3 – 3.7 for both east and westbound directions
- the delineators will be installed at the new RCUT intersections near Golden Leaf Drive
- installation operations will begin when the lane closures are established
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
