Cross-Drain Replacement Scheduled for KY 194 in Pike County (Phelps Area)
Work starts Tuesday, weather permitting
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (July 11, 2025) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 will close KY 194 at mile point 71.0 in the Phelps area on Tuesday, July 15, to replace a cross-drain beneath the roadway.
The road will be closed to all traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while crews perform the necessary drainage improvements.
Motorists should plan ahead and use an alternate route during this time. Message boards and signage will be in place to notify drivers approaching the work zone.
KYTC District 12 appreciates the public’s patience as we make necessary infrastructure improvements to improve drainage and roadway safety in the area.
