Bridge Deck Repairs Scheduled for KY 160 in Letcher County (Gordon Area)

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (July 8, 2025) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 12 advises the public of an upcoming closure of the Gordon Bridge on KY 160 at mile point 1.83 to perform necessary bridge deck repairs.
Starting Monday, July 14, crews will close the bridge to all traffic to complete a full-depth concrete repair where a temporary steel plate is currently in place, as well as additional concrete patching in other areas of the bridge deck.
The bridge will remain closed for one week while the concrete cures and work is completed. The current plan is to reopen the bridge Monday morning, July 21, weather permitting.
Message boards and appropriate signage will be posted to alert motorists in advance of the closure. Drivers should plan ahead and seek alternate routes during this time.
