Paving Begins Tonight Along Henderson Strip

Project scheduled to be completed by the end of July

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (July 7, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to begin nighttime paving along the "U.S. 41 Strip" in Henderson later today.

Beginning tonight, E&B Paving will be applying new asphalt to the roadway from the north end of the U.S. 60 on/off ramps to U.S. 41 (16.2 mile point) to the state line on the north side of the Ohio River (20.87 mp).

Paving work will take place between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night. Lane closures should be anticipated along this route during overnight hours. Motorists should also expect some daytime lane restrictions, beginning Tuesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 9 near the 16.3 mp (Long John Silvers).

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
