Update – Rescheduled operations for

Mercer County

Thermoplastic markings

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 2, 2025)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that thermoplastic marking operations are rescheduled for Mercer County. Markings include stop bars, crosswalks and arrows.

The markings improve reflectivity, and visibility which enhance safety. Flaggers will be onsite to guide and direct traffic. Motorists will be able to pass through the work zones.

Note: work is rescheduled for today due to Tuesday’s inclement weather

Wednesday, July 2 currently and until 5 p.m.

  • the location is the intersection with Chestnut Street (milepoint 4.1)

All work and/or closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
