Bridge Maintenance Scheduled for Fourth Street (KY 8) Bridge on Tuesday, June 24

Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

COVINGTON, Ky. (June 23, 2025) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office advises motorists of a bridge maintenance project on the Fourth Street (KY 8) Bridge (7.63 mile point) over the Licking River in Kenton and Campbell counties.

On Tuesday, June 24, our KYTC structures crew will perform maintenance work on the bridge from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Westbound traffic will be shifted to the right lane, while eastbound traffic will be directed to the center lane.

This temporary traffic pattern will be in place between Garrard Street in Covington and the roundabout in Newport.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays, and use caution while traveling through the area.

Project schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
