Update - Buckeye Road/KY 39 in

Garrard County

Slide repair operations continues

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 20, 2025)  KYTC District 7 advises that this news release serves as an update. Work continues for a section of Buckeye Road/KY 39 for slide repair operations. One lane will be open for the roadway during a specific time.

Motorists should continue to utilize the alternate route for the time periods that the route is completely closed. The project limits are between milepoints 17.5 and 17.7.

Buckeye Road/KY 39North and Southbound

Friday, June 20 through Monday, June 23currently (today) and until Monday at 7 a.m.

  • one lane will be open between milepoints 17.5 – 17.7
  • motorists can pass through the work zone

Monday, June 23 through Tuesday, June 247 a.m. Monday until 5 p.m. Tuesday

  • the route will be completely closed between milepoints 17.5 and 17.7
  • motorists will need to utilize the alternate route

Alternate Route

  • the traveling public can utilize Wolf Trail Road/Poor Ridge Road/KY 563

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
