Lane Restriction Planned on I-69 in Madisonville this Weekend
Interstate repair project continues
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (June 20, 2025) – A contractor working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning lane restrictions on both north and southbound Interstate 69 through Madisonville tomorrow, Saturday, June 21, as the ongoing interstate repair project continues.
Both directions of I-69 will be reduced to one lane from Island Ford Road (116 mm) to the southern end of the project in front of the mall (113.8 mm). Crews will be conducting shoulder repairs and replacing guardrails along the right side of the roadway in both directions throughout the project.
A 55 mph speed restriction remains in effect from the KY 2657/Fowler Road overpass (118.15 mp) to the end of the project at the 113.8 mm. The project is scheduled to be completed by November.
