KY 1665 (Bridgeport-Benson Road) Bridge Replacement Project Postponed in Franklin County
Revised construction timelines to be shared when available
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 4, 2025) – Construction to replace the KY 1665 (Bridgeport-Benson Road) bridge over South Benson Creek at mile point 3.93 in Franklin County has been postponed. Details regarding the upcoming 60-day closure and revised construction timeline will be shared as they become available.
The project includes demolishing the existing bridge and constructing a replacement bridge. Once a new start date is confirmed, a full closure of the KY 1665 bridge will be required for approximately two months.
Central Bridge Company, LLC., is completing the work under a $5.4 million contract, including replacing the KY 12 (Flat Creek Road) bridge over Flat Creek in Franklin County at mile point 12.46. Construction on the KY 12 (Flat Creek Road) bridge will not affect traffic during the project, and an updated construction timeline will be shared when available.
