UPDATE | TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Closure of I-64 West Ramp Tonight, June 4, in Franklin County
Contract crews to mill and pave off-ramp as part of the I-64/U.S. 127 interchange improvement project
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 4, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an overnight ramp closure on Interstate 64 West tonight, June 4, in Franklin County.
The I-64 West off-ramp to U.S. 127 at Exit 53B will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, June 4, through 5 a.m. Thursday, June 5. The ramp closure is necessary for contract crews to mill and pave the off-ramp as part of the I-64/U.S. 127 interchange improvement project. Motorists should plan to detour by taking Exit 58 to U.S. 60 (Versailles Road) then take U.S. 421 to reach U.S. 127.
The $4 million project, awarded to ATS Construction of Lexington, KY, will enhance travel efficiency and safety near the Paddocks of Frankfort and the surrounding areas. The project is nearing final completion and is expected to conclude this summer.
Motorists should heed signage, use caution, and plan ahead when traveling.
