Temporary Daytime Closure Scheduled for KY 1373 Pike County at Beaver Creek for Embankment Repairs
June 4-6 8AM to 3:30PM Daily
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (June 3, 2025) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 announces a temporary daytime closure of KY 1373 at milepoint 0.35, located at the mouth of Beaver Creek where it intersects KY 80. The closure will be in effect Wednesday through Friday, June 4–6, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform embankment and roadbed restoration work. As part of this project, concrete will be poured to install a polybag embankment retention system, which is expected to take several hours each day.
Access will be maintained for school buses and emergency vehicles throughout the closure.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the work hours. KYTC District 12 appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve the safety and reliability of the roadway.
