Resurfacing Project on Taft Highway (KY 22) in Grant County Now Underway
Single lane closure expected throughout the project limits
COVINGTON, Ky. (June 3, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an ongoing resurfacing project on Taft Highway (KY 22) in Grant County.
Crews will be resurfacing a portion of Taft Highway beginning at the Grant/Owen County line (mile point 0.0) extending to just west of Jonesville Road (KY 36) (mile point 5.67), a distance of 5.67 miles of resurfacing.
Base failure repairs are now complete. Weather permitting, milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin the week of June 8. Single lane closures will be in place during daytime working hours throughout the project limits. Flaggers will be in place on both sides of the work zone to guide motorists safely through the area.
Mago Construction Company LLC is contracted to perform the $762,726 project on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
