Update - Closure rescheduled for
Ware Road/KY 2335 in Bourbon County
Paving operations
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 2, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. The closure on Ware Road/KY 2335 is rescheduled due to previous inclement weather.
The contractor will pave the section with one full paving operation. The paving work cannot be completed for individual lanes due to the narrow width of the roadway. The temporary closure is necessary for paving operations by Hinkle Contracting Co.
Wednesday, May 28 – 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. (operations did not take place on this day)

Tuesday, June 3 – 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Ware Road/KY 2335
- a closure will be in effect between milepoints 0.0 – 1.1 (north and southbound directions)
- the road will be completely closed during the hours of work
- message boards are in place to alert motorists
- emergency vehicles and local residents will be allowed through the work zone

the work location is adjacent to the intersection with Bethlehem Road extending to the Fayette Co. line
Alternate Route
- Bethlehem Road (CR) to Houston Antioch Road (CR)
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties.
