KYTC Mowing Crews Active in District 1; Use Caution
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 27, 2025) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) mowing crews have started working in District 1 counties.
Motorists are urged to slow down and exercise caution when approaching mowing zones. Tractors may occasionally have to cross travel lanes as crews go about their work.
KYTC and contract mowing crews will be working during daylight hours whenever weather permits. Be alert for support vehicles and workers near the roadway.
Political signs and other advertisements are not permitted on state highway right-of-way and should be removed. Illegal signs may be removed from the right-of-way without notice to the owner.
Signs that are removed will generally be held for 10 working days at the local KYTC Department of Highway Maintenance Facility, allowing owners a chance to claim them. Unclaimed signs will be discarded after this period.
KYTC District 1 counties include Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg.
