UPDATE: Traffic Will Be Blocked on KY 121 South in Calloway County for Approx. 30 Minutes on Friday
Bridge construction is underway for the new Clayton Creek Bridge
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 15, 2025) – Motorists should be prepared for traffic to be temporarily blocked on the KY 121 South onsite diversion in Calloway County on Friday afternoon, May 16, for about 30 minutes.
A construction crew will be moving equipment for the Clayton Creek bridge replacement project from one side of the bridge to the other between approximately 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
The bridge is currently under construction on KY 121 South, between KY 893/New Providence Road and KY 1497/Murray Paris Road. During construction, all traffic is being rerouted via a constructed bypass around the work zone.

PADUCAH, Ky. (Mar. 20, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to replace a bridge over Clayton Creek on KY 121 South in Calloway County.
Starting Friday, March 21, traffic will shift to the onsite diversion around the work zone at the 10.843-mile marker on KY 121 South. There will be a 45-mph speed limit.
This is between KY 893/New Providence Road and KY 1497/Murray Paris Road, southeast of Murray.
The contractor will remove the old bridge, originally built in 1932, and begin construction of a new bridge over Clayton Creek.
Motorists will use the temporary diversion until construction of the new bridge is completed. Work is expected to take about six months, weather permitting.
